Robert S. Melgaard

Robert S. Melgaard is a proactive professional in Career and Technical Education (CTE), adept in instructional delivery, stakeholder engagement, professional development, project oversight, and cultivating robust networks to advance student success and workforce readiness.

Currently, Mr. Melgaard holds the position of Career & Technical Education Programs Administrator at the Florida Department of Corrections, overseeing a diverse array of more than 120 CTE initiatives. His responsibilities encompass program management and strategic planning to optimize educational opportunities within the department.

Mr. Melgaard's journey within the Florida Department of Corrections began as a CTE Masonry Instructor and progressed to the role of Regional CTE Coordinator, where he honed his expertise in instructional leadership and program coordination. Moreover, he holds significant leadership roles outside of his primary duties, serving as the President of the Correctional Education Association Florida Chapter and as a member of the Executive Board of Directors of the Florida Concrete Masonry Education Council.
