Jonathan Bleiweiss, MBA, MSCJ

Presidential Fellow

Jonathan Bleiweiss is a formerly incarcerated scholar and one Florida’s leading experts on collateral consequences. He founded and served for five years as Executive Director of Florida Justice Center, a nonprofit legal aid organization that has provided free lawyers to assist over 7,000 people overcome  barriers caused by an arrest. Today, he serves as Florida Justice Center’s Director of Programs. Jonathan is a former police officer and detective who combines his extensive knowledge of the law with his lived experienced in the criminal legal system to help others. He holds Master of Science in Criminal Justice and Master of Business Administration degrees, is a 2022 JustLeadershipUSA Leading with Conviction Fellow, and sits on committees of numerous justice reform entities.


Jonathan is a doctoral student in Criminal Justice at the University of Cincinnati and is one of ten Presidential Fellows.
