Ella Taylor
Graduate Student
Ella Taylor is a graduate student at Pennsylvania State University working toward her M.A. in Criminology. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of South Florida with a B.A. in Criminology and a minor in Economics. During her undergraduate studies, she conducted research through USF’s CREATE Lab, an advanced undergraduate/graduate research lab focusing on employment and reentry. Throughout her experience in the CREATE Lab, Ella gained valuable experience in data collection, survey design, statistical analysis, and literature reviews. She has been closely collaborating with Dr. Chae Jaynes, the Co-Director of CREATE Lab, since January 2023. Her primary research interests include employment, reentry, behavioral economics related to theories of crime, economically compulsive crimes, decision-making and rational choice, drug trafficking, and quantitative methodologies.
