David Rook

David Rook, with over a decade in recovery, has significantly impacted the mental health and recovery sector. Since 2016, he’s been a trainer for DBHDS Peer Recovery Support Specialist Training and previously held a similar role at the McShin Foundation until 2016. He founded True Recovery RVA, Virginia’s largest recovery residence provider, and led it until 2023. As President of the Virginia Association of Recovery Residents (2014-2023), he was instrumental in securing $17 million in state funds over five years, underscoring his dedication and influence in the field of recovery and mental health.
