Ann Mintun

Behavioral Health/Criminal Justice Coordinator

Ann Mintun attended the University of Michigan – Ann Arbor where she doubled-majored in Political Science and History through the College of Literature, Science, and the Arts (LSA). Ann began working at the Criminal Justice Coordinating Council (CJCC) in 2023 as the Office Manager, where she gained familiarity with the criminal legal landscape in Toledo/Lucas County, OH. Towards the end of 2023, Ann was promoted as the Behavioral Health/Criminal Justice Coordinator at the CJCC. In this position, Ann is responsible for analysis, research, development, planning, and evaluation activities that support system improvements at the intersection of the Lucas County behavioral health and criminal legal systems. Her main focus is reducing the penetration of persons with behavioral health issues into the criminal legal system. Ann is the primary contact for the Lucas County Stepping Up Initiative, which is recognized nationally as an Innovator County in the Stepping Up Initiative. She serves on Lucas County’s Jail Population Review Team, Hospital Utilization Meeting, and Opiate Coalition.
